ʻIlima is the Hawaiian name for Sida fallax.
ʻIlima is found along the coastal areas of the islands of Hawaiʻi. The delicate flowers are very small in size, some as small as a penny. Although its size may be small, ʻIlima is mighty and known to be a warrior plant. The medicinal properties of this plant rise above others in plant potency for women's health and wellness.
The flowers are used for medicine in the form of teas, tinctures, and extracts.
